Engineering & Welding needed a consistent, robust and secure document destruction procedure as well as incorporate recycling improvements to assist them acquiring ISO 14001.

Engineering & Welding Supplies Ltd is the UK's largest independent welding distributor and has an extensive network of distribution centres. As a result it handles confidential customer information across the entire company on a daily basis.

Each individual branch dealt with the disposal of confidential documents and information at a local level, resulting in a number of agreements with different shredding suppliers. 

Russell Richardson & Sons Ltd already provided an onsite shredding solution and a recycling service to Engineering & Weldings site in Sutton in Ashfield. The contract was extended to cover a further eight sites under one single source contract.
