Russell Richardson acquire heavy duty shredder.

Date: 2016-02-24

Russell Richardson have acquired a heavy duty primary shredder for their secure facility in Sheffield. Following the investment in the new machinery, Russell Richardson are now able to easily process large volumes of material such as wood waste, paper reels and wrappers, cable drums and other bulky waste.

After seeing a significant increase in requests for product destruction and bulk shredding, Russell Richardson decided to invest in the Hammel VB750 shredder to meet the needs of their customers and keep the processing of heavy materials at their site in Attercliffe, Sheffield.

The acquisition of the Hammel shredder follows the purchase of a new Lidner Micromat 2000 shredder in autumn 2015 that enables the shredding and recycling company to process over 6 tonnes of confidential waste paper every hour.

“There really isn’t anything we can’t process now,” said Jonathan Richardson, managing director at Russell Richardson. “The new machinery we have invested in has transformed our facility and has already helped us to win new business and contracts.”
