Russell Richardson have taken ownership of a new, powerful shredder this week enabling them increase efficiency and throughput at their secure shredding site in Sheffield.
The Lindner Micromat 2000 arrived on site on Monday, with the first shred expected to go through the multi-use machine on Thursday.
The Lindner Micromat is a powerful, highly configurable single shaft shredder, designed for low energy consumption combined with high productivity. The Micromat has been individually configured and optimally fitted for its intended application at Russell Richardson.
“It’s an exciting time in the warehouse and all our operatives can’t wait to switch the new Shredder on and see it in action,” said Nicky Hellewell, operations manager at Russell Richardson. “Not only will the machine increase the throughput and the amount of confidential waste we can process at our site, it will do it more efficiently.”
The Lindner Micromat 2000 is expected to shred 6 tonnes of confidential waste per hour and can process: commercial and industrial waste, mixed construction waste, paper and cardboard, plastics and rubber, textiles, cable and computer scrap, wood.
“For security purposes it is essential that anything that comes to us for secure destruction is processed as quickly as possible” continued Nicky. “As the business continues to grow, the new shredder will enable us to continue to do this and keep our off site service as secure as possible for our customers while also enabling us to increase the amount of bulk shredding we do.”
