Recycle paper and save water

Date: 2014-08-04

There are many reasons to send your paper for shredding and recycling. Recycling saves tress and landfill space, conserves resource, and gives us the feel good factor. But not so many realise that recycling paper also saves a water.

Products made from 100 percent recycled paper require much less water in their manufacturing than do those made from virgin paper. If a family goes through four toilet rolls a week, choosing recycled products reduces waste significantly and over one year would save 637 gallons of water. Recycling one ton of office paper saves 7,000 gallons of water.
