On our way to zero waste!

Following our commitment to ‘zero to landfill’ we have started shredding our unusable pallets.
The pallets are  shredded through a 10mm screen which produces a lovely wood chip.
A customer has been trialling the product through his wood burning stove at home and has been able to stop buying coal as the wood chips are generating all his heating requirements at the moment!

This year we hope to achieve zero to landfill for all our non-paper arisings.
Currently as you may be aware, all paper is shredded, baled and sent to paper mills for recycling into tissue products. Cardboard is baled and sent to board mills for converting into new cardboard boxes.
